Off the rails Scrapbooking

This month's challenge for Off the rails scrapbooking is a mood board.
Here is my take on it!
I used a picture of my husband and myself taken just before our eldest daughters wedding, the photographer told us to look at each other "like we still loved each other"! so of course that made us smile at each other, resulting in a natural photo instead of a pose!

I had the right coloured papers in my stash, but achieving the glittery  blue was a bit more difficult. I put ink on the pieces of chipboard then used embossing ink then I sprinkled on what I thought was embossing glitter then using the heat gun to set it, but I had used ordinary glitter and it blew everywhere, realizing my mistake and a few choice words later I put glue on the chipboard then glitter and let it dry giving me some pretty glittery pieces to use!

Beautiful page. I love all the layering and you would never know the problems you had with the glitter - the glittery embellishments look great. Thanks for joining our challenge at Off the Rails.

lovely take on the challenge! and that could have happened to me too with the glitter :) - I´ve had glitter in my hair and all over my face when picking up the kids from school ;-)...thanks for playing along with us at Off the Rails :)

LOL...glitter....aaaaagggghhhhh!!! My mate Sanna has the BEST idea - mix it in with a PVA based glue....it keeps the glitter 'grounded' & of course, dries clear.....I love how it looks on the chippy scroll & butterfly - & those paper layers look fab! Thanks for joining us at OTR!!!
