Scrap the Girls
For this months challenge at "scrap the Girls" paint and texture paste are the requirements.
I took a dark wood grain paper and gessoed over it to lighten it then I used a wood grain stencil and spread texture paste over that, then I painted with water paints blocks of colour, not very noticeable in the photo, then splattered some more paint over the top, then covered up most of it with paper and embellishments, my photo is 5 years old of my youngest daughter hugging her niece.

Off the rails Scrapbooking
This month's challenge for Off the rails scrapbooking is a mood board.
Here is my take on it!
I used a picture of my husband and myself taken just before our eldest daughters wedding, the photographer told us to look at each other "like we still loved each other"! so of course that made us smile at each other, resulting in a natural photo instead of a pose!
I had the right coloured papers in my stash, but achieving the glittery blue was a bit more difficult. I put ink on the pieces of chipboard then used embossing ink then I sprinkled on what I thought was embossing glitter then using the heat gun to set it, but I had used ordinary glitter and it blew everywhere, realizing my mistake and a few choice words later I put glue on the chipboard then glitter and let it dry giving me some pretty glittery pieces to use!

show us your stuff July
This is the mood board for Show us your stuff for July.
Here is my take on the mood board, I went through my stash and found what I could in similar colours, a photo taken of my grandson last year is the subject, not exactly a winter photo, but the colours match anyway! for my handmade items I cut out with my silouette machine the words that say "they saw" and the oval around the other cluster on the right.
