January scrap comp

Scrap the girls an online scrapbooking site that have a monthly challenge, this months challenge is to use monochromatic colours, so I grabbed a few photos of my daughter and a friend mucking around, I asked the girls if I could use there photos, telling them I might win a prize if I was lucky, they excitedly asked what the prize was !when I told them scrapbooking products there enthusiasm levels dropped, I thought everyone was excited about scrapbooking products! Ha Ha!!
Woooops! I forgot to crop the picture.

little scrapbooker in the making

I just came across these photos of my gorgeous little granddaughter taken last year before she turned 3
When ever she comes over she wants to" play stamping she goes to my scrap room, gets herself a bunch of stamps a few ink pads and paper, not always spare paper or the stamps I want her playing with or she grabs some punches usually a flower or butterfly and makes a collage, she hasn't asked for any photos yet but I'm sure that will come! It's funny when they are little, they stick every thing on top of each other, perhaps she is into layering! Ha Ha.
If you look closely you can see blue ink on her face and arms, kids are so cute when you catch them playing, and not posing for a photo.

scrapbook page for online comp

This is the second page from last years comp, it is for "Scrap the boys!" the set criteria was to use the colour palette green white red & blue with a Christmas photo, it's not a great photo just a quick snap taken on my daughters phone trying to get my 7month old grandson to pose in a hat.

Scrapbooking comps for December. This one is a winner!

I know it's already January! but I have 2 pages to show for online competitions, their cut off line was held over till the 1st week in January, so yeah! I haven't missed out entering them.
The 1st page is for "White with one!"  Christmas themed, I used a photo a friend of my daughter sent me of herself and her fiance and his little boy. My daughter has been friends with her all through high school and beyond, the girl refers to me as "mumma Sue!" so I have a soft spot in my heart for her.
This page came 1st in the competition "woo hoo" a $50.00 voucher from

Starting the new year.

I have been busy over the holidays scrap booking, here are some pages I have completed.
I made this one for a sketch challenge, but with the hassle bustle of xmas I didn't get to enter it!
Another one I made for a challenge and missed out entering is this xmas page.

1.1.2012 in review

I can't believe another year is over, Im a very slack blogger!
I thought I would do a bit of an update on events of last year. A new addition to our family baby Zac, he is 7 months old now.

Our beautiful granddaughter turned 3, she had a few bouts of asthma needing hospitalisation, she has had grommets placed in her ears, that will hopefully stop the constant ear infections that leads to her asthma.

My youngest daughter turned 18, compleated year 12 in" Life Skills" with the formal being the highlight of her year, she is still only working 2 days a week, she has a lot more confidence since working with the public.
A big change for my husband this year will be a change of company's for his work, he will still be in the same job but with better conditions, again he will have to travel to and from work, I would like to move closer to his work so he dosen't have to travel so much, but not too far away from our girls and grand-kiddies.
We also had a surprize 80th birthday party for hubby's dad, that went off really well.
